Visual Records Is Featured in ArborAge Technology Article (19-Jun-2007) Visual Records was requested to contribute to a computer hardware article for the June issue of ArborAge, a well-known tree care publication that presents tools and techniques for today's arborists. Visual Records' software product, Storm Tracker, had been previously featured in the magazine's January and October, 2006 issues. The article focused on guiding users in the tree care industry with regards to what they should look for when purchasing technology products such as computers, handhelds, PDAs or GPS systems as well as the best way to match computers and other hardware to their business needs. The article was especially relevant to Visual Records due to the fact that they will be releasing the latest version of their debris removal and storm cleanup ticket tracking software product, Storm Tracker, Version 5.0, at the end of this summer. This latest version incorporates popular technology trends such as an optional Mobile module that uses PDAs, digital cameras and cellular phones. With this module, a user will be able use a PDA to pre-register stumps and leaners, view headquarters, TDSR Sites or tickets, enter tickets at the pick up site, record truck fill percentages at the tower and identify / avoid fraud. Trucks and drivers may be automatically identified through the use of barcode, RFID or thumbprint recognition. |
