Visual Records Develops Macros for RSMs and Corporate Management Team (14-November-2007)
Visual Records has developed macros to help RSMs (brokers) and their corporate management team plan and consolidate
their accounting information. The software includes a Planning Workbook for RSMs and a Consolidation Workbook for
the Corporate Planning Manager. These two workbooks function together to allow the Corporate Planning Manager to:
- Create a Planning Workbook for distribution to RSMs.
- Periodically update such issues as item pricing, previous year historical data by RSM and account, the current year's
estimated forecast by RSM and account, planning goals (growth rates) by product, spread profiles for allocating annual
shipment forecasts to months, Quintali factors and accrual assumptions
- Consolidate inputs from RSMs by major accounts.
- Consolidate RSM inputs by organization.
- Produce various reports using the consolidated information
Using the Planning Workbook, the RSMs will be able to:
- Enter account promotion and shipment forecast information
- Override forecast data
- Add accounts (under guidance from the Planning Manager)
- Receive periodic updates automatically from the Planning Manager
- Submit the RSM workbook to the Planning Manager automatically through the corporate network
After RSMs enter forecast information and submit their data (sent to the corporate server), the Corporate Manager
reviews both the pricing and history update workbooks. When the Corporate Manager is satisfied with the data, the
files may be published for distribution on the Master Consolidation workbook.
