Visual Records Announces Release of Storm Tracker Mapping and Mobile Modules (04-May-2007)

Visual Records announced that along with the release of Storm Tracker, Version 5.0, at the end of this summer, they are also planning to release two new optional modules: Mapping and Mobile Modules.

  • Mapping Module - Use maps provided by Microsoft MapPoint to view headquarters, TDSR Sites and tickets, track stumps and leaners, establish truck routes, check eligibility, track job progress and identify / avoid fraud. If mobile devices are GPS equipped, locations may be automatically recorded.

  • Mobile Module - Use PDAs, digital cameras or cellular phones to pre-register stumps and leaners, enter tickets at the pick up site, record truck fill percentages at the tower, and identify / avoid fraud. Trucks and drivers may be automatically identified through the use of Barcode, RFID or thumbprint recognition.
